Another week past us and hopefully another week closer to spring! Actually I would just be happy if the weather would stop veering from one extreme to another.  Richmond’s weather this winter has see sawed between 40 one day and 60 the next.  This is not good weather for my sinuses or my asthma.  And now I’m on my second cold in a month…this one is a doozy too. It’s the “my head is so stuffy I want someone to pop it” kind of cold…fun right?

Okay,  enough of my complaining.   Today,  I’ve got some more great articles and information from around the web, we are covering “fake-work”, fear of a new job and job -shifters:

Fake-work projects - Fake-work is anything you do to avoid tackling the tough tasks on your desk.  Have to work on writing up a  mind- numbing policy? All of a sudden you decide you MUST clean up your desk.  This article discusses how to tackle those urges and get real work done.

Fear is the biggest hurdle for some job seekersinteresting article about the fear of getting a new job after being laid off or un-employed for a while.

The job-shifters: people who reinvent themselves mid-career – an interesting and inspirational piece about people who have re-invented their career either because they have to or because they want to.

That’s all for this week folks! Next week I will be writing about WTF interviews and the value of a smile.

Have a great weekend!
