Happy Friday the 13th! I hope you make it through the day without anything bad happening to you!

I don’t believe in superstitions like Friday the 13th or a black cat crossing your path. My theory is that you make your own luck. I have plenty of my own ability to make bad things happen, I don’t need a date on a calendar to make that happen!

So besides Friday the 13th, I have some other great articles and news pieces I found on the web this week, check them out: Best Buy board investigating former CEO’s conduct with a subordinate - It was a surprise to some that the CEO of Best Buy resigned this week after announcing a major restructuring of the company. Apparently there were some other reasons…along the lines of inappropriate behavior with a female subordinate. Geez do these guys ever learn? High unemployment may dog the economy for years - good post from MSNBC that talks about the implications of the long term unemployed and what, if any, solutions there could be. Evernote and it’s unusual corporate culture - All I have to say is that Evernote has ROBOTS in their offices! ROBOTS! okay that is the nerd in me, but seriously wouldn’t every office be better with a robot in it? Building a virtual culture – Awesome look at how a company builds a culture when it’s virtual.
